Logan Update

First lost tooth.

He is having fun playing soccer.

He decided he should wear this tie to school but he lost it. He is bummed.

Logan had an awesome birthday. He was so excited to finally have it be his special day. He got to have his first lateover with his best friend Brie. He really wanted  a sleep over with her and while they are young and innocent we don't want to start opposite sex sleepovers.

He tried to comb his hair before school.

Second lost tooth. He lost this tooth at school. I think it is funny that he is wearing the same shirt as when he lost his first tooth. He doesn't believe in the tooth fairy.

At his parent teacher conference we learned that this boy of ours has been letting everyone know in his class that he is the smartest kid in the class and that he speeds through his work so he can be the first one done. His teacher has been having to take his work while she explains it to the class so that he doesn't finish it before she is done explaining it. The problem is that he usually completes the work correctly. So we had a talk about how he can believe in himself and how he can think in his head I am smart but that he doesn't need to brag. We also told him that he needs to make sure he is always doing his best handwriting and best work and that he needs to make sure he listens to all directions before he starts his work. He also argued with his teacher about not using more color on his pumpkin patch. She is trying to challenge him by giving him mazes and the ipad when he finishes his work early. She also said he is a great helper at helping her teach the class. He would love to be in 3rd grade but I don't know that testing him out of 1st and 2nd would be a good idea because I'm not sure he is mature enough. We are proud of this boy and everything his teacher said wasn't a surprise. We just hope she can find a way to challenge him. We told her to contact us if there is anything else that we need to chat about at home. He has come home everyday and told me I thought I am the smartest all day but I didn't tell anyone. Got to love him, we are happy he believes in himself.

Aurora Update

First Place at Octoberfest. Her coach is amazing and we love her and her family. They are all so kind.

We are so very proud of our little ice skater. She has improved so much and practices hard. We never have to push her to practice. She has been skating before school and has been loving it.

Aurora got second at the 2017 Central Pacific Non- Qual competition that our club hosted. It was super fun and impressive to watch all the skaters that competed in the qualifying competition. Our club has 3 boys that are moving on to sectionals and hopefully Nationals.

Avery Update

Avery received his personal fitness, personal management, emergency preparedness, swimming and wilderness survival merit badges at the last court of honor. We are so proud of him and all of his hard work.  He has been attending his schools MESA club and our local library chess club. He is doing well in school and enjoys hanging out with his friends, he spends a lot of time on his phone messaging friends. He is looking forward to driving and feels he should be able to do so now because he is tall enough. I can hardly wait for him to drive, it will be the best day ever!
