1st attempt at Malan's Peak

At the beginning.

Today we decided to try and hike Malan's Peak. We ended up getting a later start than we had planned and weren't able to finish it because we had to get Aurora from daycamp. We plan to do it again next week and to finish it. However, we now know what we are in for.

Dinosaur Park

Logan went on a field trip to Dinosaur Park with his play group. Avery and Joseph joined us since they were around. Aurora has been busy at Girl Scout Daycamp this week.

Avery's 10th Birthday

Avery wanted the Boise State logo on his cake this year. Joseph did his best.

After opening presents and eating cake and ice cream we went to an Ogden Raptors baseball game. We had an enjoyable evening. It is hard to believe that Avery is already 10. We are proud of the boy he is becoming. He is a great example to his younger siblings most of the time and we appreciate that.

Weblos Daycamp

Bike Ride

We went on a family bike ride last week. We biked from the Dinosaur Park to the Riverdale Walmart (about 10.5 miles). We had an enjoyable bike ride even though Avery did have a little accident. He basically went right over top his handle bars. Thankful he only got a scrape on his elbow and a little one on his knee. The worst of it was the torn shorts as seen in the picture above. We were close to the end and he still felt like riding so we kept going after rinsing off the scrapes. We also carry a small first-aid kit with us on all our outings.

Marker Fun

Logan had fun with the marker that Aurora left in their room.

Ward Party

The kids had a great time at our Ward pool party last week. Avery is getting better and better at swimming. Aurora is getting braver and Logan has no fear.

Lagoon

We had a great day at Lagoon this last week. Avery was brave and went on some big rides with Joseph this year and enjoyed it. Aurora and Logan also had a great time. Logan loved the rides and the castle rides that are supposed to be scary made him laugh.

Beus Canyon Hike

A couple of weeks ago we went to check out a hike before taking the cub scouts on it. It was an easy hike compared to the ones we have done in the past. The very next week we did the hike again with the cub scouts. 

Baseball

Avery has been enjoying another season of Baseball. I believe this is his 5th year.

Ice Skating Lessons

Aurora wanted to take ice skating lessons again this summer. She really enjoys it and gets better each time.

Camping in North Fork

Last Thursday we left to go camping for a couple of nights. We love living so close to camping and hiking spots. Our camping spot was beautiful, shady, and close by the river. We enjoyed playing card games, baseball, playing near the river, and hiking.

This was the waterfall we hiked to. Logan even hiked most of it even though there were really steep spots.

Logan wasn't feeling so well Saturday while we were packing up to head home. He kept wanting me to hold him but I was busy helping pack up. He decided to just take a nap. My kids can sleep just about anywhere.
