Free Skate 1 Competition

We are so proud of this girl. She placed first in her group. She has worked so hard and has put in a lot of  time practicing. Aurora was so confident going into this competition and was determined to get first. She even told her coach before stepping on the ice that she was going to take first and she did. This was a bigger competition and there were a total of 12 skaters in Aurora's level but they split them up into groups of 4 because they wanted more kids to get a medal so they will continue in the sport. Aurora wishes that they hadn't because she really wanted to compete against everyone. However, if we compare the scores of all three groups Aurora was first overall.

We love watching her skate and are so happy that we have been blessed with such a wonderful coach. Her coach loves skating and loves to teach it and she is a pretty fabulous teacher. We also feel blessed to to have had Joseph's mom sew her pirate costume. Most importantly Aurora loves to skate and could spend every waking moment at the rink if we let her.

Lastly, I have to document a moment I witnessed as Aurora was on the podium more for me since this is as close to a journal as I get. But as each girl joined her she bent down and told them what a great job they had done. It was a sweet moment to witness her being so kind to those she skated against.

Rubik's Pyramid

Logan is following in his dad's footsteps and loves to solve different cubes. Here is a picture of the  rubik's pyramid.
