First Place at the Chess Tournament

Avery wouldn't let me take a picture of him and his chess pawn that he won at the local Library when he took first last month in the tournament. So I thought I would mention it here. Avery really loves chess and is always up for a challenge. He was also attending the chess club at his school but it has come to and end for this school year. We are so happy that he has found something that he loves. He is also very much into scouting and goes on camp outs almost every month.

Avery Cooking

Avery is in a cooking class this year. He missed a few days a few weeks ago when he was really sick. He had to make up a couple of cooking assignments at home. He made Orange Julius and Oatmeal Munchies. It was a great learning experience for him and he can now make a few more things.

Easter

Avery didn't want his picture taken, so he said, but I see that smile.

Logan got a nice blue hand.

The kids had fun hunting for their baskets in the morning and dying  and hunting eggs in the afternoon.

Egg Hunt With Brie

These two are such great friends. Logan will miss not being able to see her everyday when she goes to first grade and he goes to Kindergartner next year. I love how Logan has so many different expressions from picture to picture.

Science

Logan loves to learn and is especially good at math. He can add, subtract, and do basic multiplication in his head. It is pretty darn amazing. He just gets how patterns work. He can also read a basic book. Recently he has been showing an interest in science when painting. He likes to mix the colors and then calls it science, funny kid. I think this summer we will have a science day every now and again because I think all our kids will enjoy it.

Visit With More Family

Aurora with her cousin Mya. My sister in-law and her daughter and sister came down for a girls weekend the weekend of Womens  Conference. They were able to stop by our house for lunch on their way home. Aurora was so excited that she got to see Mya for a bit.

Visit With The Kreitzer Family

Logan loves his cousin.

My sister and her family decided to come visit us the weekend of Aurora's Spring Show. We had a wonderful visit and I was able to meet my newest niece. Their girls are both adorable. We were able to all go swimming at the hotel they were staying at.

Spring Show

Aurora had a blast learning her numbers for the spring show this year. She loves to skate for an audience. But most of all she looks forward to being able to do a solo in a spring show, which she can do as soon as she learns her axle. She is working on learning her axle now and she hopes to land it by the end of summer.  She doesn't mind skating with others but prefers to skate alone because she can skate fast and doesn't have to worry about others getting in her way. There were a few times that I had to remind her to be patience with those she was skating with. She has made such great progress and we love watching her skate and she talks about skating all the time. She is currently getting ready for her next competition and it can't come soon enough. As soon as she get off the ice from a competition she is ready to go again. She will tell anyone and everyone that she loves to skate but she loves competing even more. We are so very thankful that she has such a wonderful coach who always pushes her to new levels. Lastly, I should add that Joseph made the above X-men costume. We are lucky to have him.
