Park Fun

We had a great time at the park a couple Sundays ago. We had a lovely potluck with about 40 or so other exmo's like us. It is so great being able to make new friends and to not feel so alone. The kids had a blast playing with the other children and it was a beautiful day.

Home Improvement

Here are our new couches and new carpet. We had new carpet put in last year after trying to move and deciding not to.The couches we just bought after searching for the perfect ones. Our main reason for wanting to move was because we had left the church and were tired of unexpected visitors showing up at our home and we didn't want to hear any more of the rumors. We just wanted to get a fresh start away from our former ward. But things just didn't work out and our buyers fell through. For the time being we have decided to stay in our home and to just continue to add improvements. We also bought a new fridge last year. So many of our friends are house poor because they want a bigger home and they are competing with everyone else. We aren't that way and enjoy having money in savings. It is also nice being able to pay cash for things and to not have to use a credit card. We enjoy the feeling of being self sufficient and we want to be able to provide our children with the activities that will help them continue to grow into confident adults. Plus we are so blessed compared to many families around the world who aren't able to enjoy having a home with many rooms, indoor plumbing and much more.

Science Fair

This is the part of the award ceremony for the Math and Physics kids. Avery is called near the end of the video.
Avery earned third place at his school's science fair. The top 6 students then had the option to attend the Ritchey Science Fair. Joseph took a day off of work and took Avery to the fair. He was awarded excellent in Math and Physics. We are so very proud of him. Even though Joseph is a science teacher, Avery did the project himself. I state that because some think otherwise. He built 4 different paper airplanes and a paper airplane launcher. He was testing to see which plane would fly the farthest based off of wing width, length, height, total wing edge, and weight.

2014 Spring Show

Aurora was able to participate in the Wasatch Figure Skating Club Ice Show again this year. She was able to be part of the opening number because she is now a club member. She is the first girl who comes out in a yellow dress and her hair is in a ponytail. You will see her do a couple of bunny hops and a lunge. She loves to skate and looks forward to competing in June.

This next video is her lion and tiger group. The theme of the show was a circus theme. She is the lion with the oval on her shirt.
