Sledding

These kids were so excited to have snow for Christmas. I was not so excited to have snow and had been enjoying winter the way it was but it made me happy to see how excited they were. Aurora was probably the most excited. Aurora has spent several hours each day since Christmas sledding and she made some new friends that she has been sledding with.

Christmas Morning

Logan wanted to take family pictures before we opened presents. We jumped on the opportunity since he is the one that usually fights us to take pictures unless it is his idea.

We had a wonderful Christmas and the kids were happy with all that they received. They also enjoyed picking out gifts for each other.

Logan was excited to show us the reindeer tracks that had been left from Santa's reindeer. It was the first thing he wanted to show us before we all headed down stairs. Below is the video of the kids coming down stairs.

Christmas Lights

We spent a couple of nights enjoying some Christmas lights in the warmth of our car. The first night we went to Layton Park and enjoyed some Krispy Kreme donuts while we drove through the park. The second night we delivered some neighbor gifts and went to a house in Riverdale that has a light show.

Visit With Family

Chad was able to come visit us for an afternoon last Sunday because he was down picking up a truck for work. Logan was being difficult and didn't want to be in the picture. But we were all able to enjoy a nice lunch at Famous Daves. Then we got to visit with Mitch the Saturday after Christmas. It was great being able to visit with family.

Santa Claus/Condo Christmas Party

We attended our condo Christmas party again this year and had a wonderful time visiting with our neighbors. We are grateful that we still have a holiday party that we can attend since leaving the LDS faith. It is really nice being able to get together with others during the holidays. Logan and Aurora were excited to sit on Santa's lap but Avery has outgrown the desire to do so.

Thanksgiving in Oregon

We spent Thanksgiving in Oregon with Joseph's family. We had a nice visit with everyone and the kids had fun playing with their cousins. We were able to visit with some of Joseph's aunts and uncles and his grandma who we don't get to see much. Aurora, Mya, Grandma Nancy, and I had a fun girls day. We took the girls roller skating and out to diner and ice cream. The girl's had a blast at the roller rink. On Saturday we went to the Boise State game with Joseph's brothers and his mom. Logan and Aurora stayed with Marci  (my sister in-law) and their cousins. We had a freezing good time on The Blue. I came very prepared with multiple layers as did Avery but Joseph didn't and froze.

Snow

We haven't had much snow this winter, which I am loving. I think the only thing that would  make the Ogden area more appealing to me is if  the Great Salt Lake was the ocean. But the kids have been really disappointed. So for their sake I hope we have a few good snow storms or we will need to taking them sledding up in the mountains.
