Say, " Cheese"

I think this is so cute.

Nebraska Trip

We had a great trip to Nebraska to visit my friend of 20 years. We enjoyed a day at the water park. One day we went on a bike ride, played at the park, feed the ducks, and played in a kiddie pool. The best part was being able to visit with one another.

Eye Update

Aurora and Logan went down for their eye check ups. Logan has been cleared. Aurora is now seeing 20/25 and 20/30. Her right eye still has some scar tissue that has built up to be quite thick. However, she can still see through it. They will check her again in 9 months. If the scar tissue gets worse they will have to surgical remove it because it is to thick for the yag laser. The doctor is very pleased with her progress as are we.

Ice Skating

Logan's first time ice staking.

Bike Ride

We went on another bike ride last Wednesday. We rode from Dinosaur Park to Fort Buenaventura, about 5 miles. This is a road that has been washed away.

About 25 yards from our car, the end of the bike ride, Aurora hit a stick. She fell over the handle bars flat on her face, bending her glasses. She seemed to be ok right at first besides the normal crying. A few minutes later she started behaving weird.  She had a concussion. We decided it would be best to get her head checked out even though she was wearing a helmet. The doctor had a ct scan done and luckily everything came back normal. She doesn't remember most of the bike ride. Thank goodness this experience has not stopped her form riding her bike.

Backpacking

Logan is a great hiker. Look at him go. He loved exploring all the rocks, sticks, and plants.

Our view from our campsite.

Snow is there still.

Waterfall
We hiked a mile and a half on Friday night to meet Joseph's brothers at Big Strawberry Lake. The next day we were going to break camp and  hike another 2 miles to Little Strawberry Lake and camp there for a night. But the trail was covered in snow. So we decided to just to a day hike to the waterfall. We hiked the mile there in the snow. We had such a great time.

Avery's birthday cake.
Joseph had a 4 day teacher training in Orem. The kids and I went down for a couple of the days. On Friday after the training was over we meet up with Joseph's brother and hiked the Mount Timpanogos Cave. On our way home we decided to go and eat at the Mayan. The kids absolutely loved all the shows that the divers and others put on. Avery even got a birthday cake with a fire work in it. The kids also had a blast playing in the pool at the hotel.
