First Competition

After about 4 months of private ice skating lessons, Aurora was able to attend her first ice skating competition. She did a wonderful job and only had one major slip up, but was able to keep herself from falling.  I was most worried about her falling at the end with her jumps but she was able to land them with no problems. She loved having the whole ice sheet to herself and preforming for the judges. She also enjoyed getting all dolled up. Her coach said that there was some hard acts that she went up against but she was able to come in 3rd. They even had a podium for the winners to stand on for pictures. She can hardly wait until the next competition. As parents we love watching her live what she calls her "dream". However, there was a small part of us that hoped maybe she wouldn't enjoy the competition side of things so much because it is so expensive. For example, this one cost 120.00 but luckily we were able to borrow an outfit from a fellow skater. Most outfits are around 100. It is defiantly not the most affordable sport but we feel blessed to be able to provide this for her.

Lipstick

Logan found a pretty pink highlighter and decided it would go great with his complexion has a lipstick. He has just hit the stage of writing on himself ,walls, and what not.

Kangaroo Zoo

I took the kids to Kangaroo Zoo to burn off some energy, it has been a long couple of months being mostly in doors. They had a great time playing and jumping all over. It will be so nice to hit the parks when the snow melts and the weather warms up.

Pinewood Derby

This is Avery's last year in Cub Scouts and his last pinewood derby race. He had a great time making his car and did it entirely on his own. His car came in 1st in a few of the races and 8th overall. We are proud of the young man he is.

Pulling a Avery

Logan decided to do something Avery used to do after being sent to bed one night. He lined up Aurora's barbies and doll house toys.
