Logan's 5th Birthday

Logan made sure he got a picture with both  Avery and Aurora.

Logan was supper excited for his birthday. He had been counting down the days since last year when he turned 4. The morning of his birthday he insisted that we make a list of everything that needed to be done to make his birthday special. When it came time to open presents he insisted that we had forgotten one of his presents so he went up stairs and brought down the wrapping paper. He quickly unwrapped the rest of the wrapping paper until he was holding the cardboard tube and then he said see but looked puzzled because it was just a tube. But since he had asked for spy gadgets for his birthday we quickly thought we can make the tube into a telescope and binoculars. He was so happy with that idea. He was so loving and kind and thanked us for everything that we did for him. He is such a kind loving little boy and he loves to tell me multiple times a day how much he loves me. Logan loves giving me kisses and hugs and loves to cuddle. We are so happy that we decided to have one more when we both thought we were done at 2 because he brings so much fun and laughter into our home.

Saving Gary the Snail

Logan and his friend found a snail up in the tree and decided it must be there pet snail Gary from last year. They decided that they needed to plant some beans so that they could grow a bean stock high enough to save Gary the snail before the giants came to eat him. Logan asked me for some magical beans and I tried to explain to him that I didn't have any but he insisted the beans we had used on an art project would work. They spent a few days going through lots of steps to try and get the bean stock to grow.

Backspin

Aurora was super excited to finally get more than three rotations on her backspin.

Chess Club

Avery was excited to hear that there was a chess club that meets after school once a week. He wishes they meet another time or two but is happy that there is a club he is interested in. Avery loves playing chess and other strategy games.

Fall Festival

Aurora attended a Fall Festival fundraiser for her friends church a few weeks ago.She was excited that she was able to get her face painted and wanted a picture to remember it always. Her friend and her had a blast jumping on bounces houses, playing in water, dancing, and enjoying yummy food.

Wasatch Figure Skating Club's Opening Social

Aurora with some of her skating friends.

The above two picture are from the kickball game. I was at the playground with Logan and wasn't able to get a picture of Avery. Everyone who played had a blast.

All of the club members who were able to come.

Aurora is Nine

We celebrated Aurora's ninth birthday on August 26th. She really wanted a telescope and binoculars for her birthday because she loves astronomy. We decide to just get her the binoculars for now because she was having trouble seeing through a telescope on the Avila Beach Peer and for her two eyes are better than one. She was excited to get some more barbie clothes for her barbies and the movie Sandlot. She is not a frosting lover so we did plan chocolate cupcakes with play-doh  ice cream. We are so happy to have this sweet and mischievous girl in our family and it is so fun watching her ice skate.
