Family Outing

Saturday we went to the Salk Lake library for a 3ds meetup. Then we went to the Philadelphian for dinner and then headed to Midway to see the Ice Castles. It was freezing cold and we all froze our butts off, but it was neat to see. I thought we would be waiting in line forever because the line was so long but it moved really fast. We were able to watch some fire dancers while we waited. Afterwards we went and got hot chocolate, coffee, and donuts. So yummy! It was a great day and all the kids were awesome and well behaved.

Elvis Presley

Aurora read a biography about Elvis Presley at school and made an art project so that she could tell her class what she learned. As you can see Elvis is on the stage singing and all the girls are fainting. When she brought this project home I thought what a cleaver idea. She loves art and is usually found at the kitchen table doing some sort of art.

New Year's Eve

This year we decided to let the kids stay up late with us to ring in the New Year. In years past we have sent them to bed because we wanted to go to bed ourselves. But this year the kids really wanted to stay up. So we put together a ginger bread house kit my sister and her family gave us and we played video and board games. Then we watched some Modern Family until it was time to watch the ball drop on the T.V. Logan made it to eleven before he put himself to bed. He is so good at knowing when he needs to sleep or when it is time to change activities. He is good at setting limits; I just hope he keeps that behavior up.
