Back to School

Our 5th grader Avery.

Our second grader Aurora.

Neither of them were excited to go back to school. They think summer went by way to fast and I agree.

Aurora let me do her hair this morning, this hardly ever happens.

Aurora Turns 7

Aurora had a great birthday, it's hard to believe she is already 7. She loves to go ice skating and took some more lessons over the summer. So we took her ice skating on Saturday night since her birthday fell on Sunday this year. She is way better than me on the ice. Next Saturday we will take the whole family to a jump house to celebrate a little more. We sure do love having this sweet little girl in our family.

Girls Scout Party

We had a great time at North Shore. Avery loves the diving boards and water slides. Aurora loves the lazy river and kiddie slides and Logan loves everything. He is not afraid of the water at all. He really wants to go on the diving boards and water slides like Avery.

Yellowstone Trip

Logan loved going up to Joseph and saying, "hm." Then it was Joseph's turn to do it back.

We had a wonderful time at Yellowstone the first week of August. There are so many cool things to see. We did a lot of walking and driving from place to place and still didn't get to see everything. It is amazing  how many different colors you can see in one place. Logan thought that the white bubbling hot springs were hot milk.  By day 3 the kids were so tired of walking and driving. We decided to come home a day early because we were all so tired. However, we defiantly learned a few things to do different next time. For example, we will not break camp everyday, we will just stay in the same place and drive back and forth. We will also have some down time each day to give the kids a break. We are looking forward to going back in a couple years.

We drove through Grand Teton National Park on our way home. We stopped by Jenny Lake and plan to go back to do some hiking and canoeing in a couple years. It is wonderful having a husband who only works 180 days a year and has every summer off.
