The 4th of July

Here is a picture of the kids with there glow sticks. We had a nice weekend with Avery's Baptism and with family.

Water Park

I decided to bring the family along with me on a Young Men and Young Women activity. The kids had a blast playing in the pool. Logan really loves the water.

Avery's Baptism

I can hardly believe I have an eight year old. Time really goes by so fast. Avery's baptism day went better then I thought it would. He did a great job in the water and came up with a smile on his face. I'm grateful he made such a great choice. He is a great kid with a big heart. He is always so helpful to me. We all love you Avery.
Aurora fell off her bike and face planted it. She also had a cut under her lip and a cut on her knee.

Camping

Joseph organized an11-Year-Old Scout campout over Avery's birthday because it was convenient for everyone else. One of his scouts told him he might not be able to go because his sister's birthday is on the 25th just like Avery's. That scout's family are good friends of ours so we all decided we should just all go and camp next to the 11-Year-Olds and leaders. Anyhow, a few hours before we were to leave we had a bunch of cancellations from the other leaders and some of the scouts. We decided to still go since we were all packed and ready. Out friends we also still planning on going and so was one other eleven year old so it became the Oakes and Berghout camping trip with our good friend RK. We had a wonderful evening with fun games and jokes and food. Once it was time for bed Joseph headed home because he had to still do our paper route. The next morning he planned to come back and bring up breakfast.

The next morning came and around 8:20 or so I was getting worried because Joseph wasn't back. I decided to drive down a little ways so I could get cell phone reception where I was able to get ahold of him. He then told me of a wreck a few miles down the road from our campsite. They had the road closed off, and he was unable to bring us breakfast. I went back and told the others. Luckily our friends had brought some eggs and a few other things and I had a stove and some cooking supplies. We were able to each have a little something. We also had some marshmallows, crackers, and plenty of water to hold us all over until the road opened. We found out that those that were in the wreck were the ones camping right next to us. Our friend had helped them right beforehand jump their car. He kinda felt partly to blame but it really wasn't his fault at all. He was just doing a good dead.

Day Camp

Avery had a great time this year at day camp.

Lemonade Stand

The kids have been bugging me all summer to do a lemonade stand. I finally let them. They made almost 20 dollars in 2 days. They have decided that they are going to first pay their tithing and then save the rest for Lagoon.

Aurora's Hair

A couple of Sundays ago Aurora got herself already for church. She wasn't very happy with me when I giggled at her. I was able to convince her that she did a good job but that she needed a little more help.

Standing Alone

This isn't a great picture but Logan can stand for a few seconds not holding onto anything.

Avery turned 8

Joseph drew the master sword on Avery's cake.
