Solar Eclipse/ St George Trip

The kids love to play in the pool so we always make sure the motel we stay at has one.

There was somewhere between 10 to 15 thousand people who came to the sweet-spot in Kanarraville Utah to watch the solar eclipse. There were also many scientist who had telescopes set up. We are looking forward to the next one in 2017, where we will be driving to Oregon.

Avery and Aurora also were among a few to make the newspaper.

While in St. George we spent sometime visiting my Grandma and my mom who is living with her. We also went to dinner the first night with my brother and his family and my mom. On Sunday we spent time with my sister and her husband and my mom. We had planned to do some hiking and biking on that Monday but decided to head home in time for Aurora's Girl Scout picnic and Avery's baseball game.

Logan loves the water and could spend all day swimming. He has never been afraid of the water which is a good and bad thing. Here is a short video of him swimming to get the ball.

2012 Scout-O-Rama

We only spent a couple of hours at this years Scout-O-Rama because we had other things going on that day. There weren't has many events this year as in the past but the kids still had fun. Logan even attempted the monkey bridge and he surprisingly made it a couple of steps before wanting down.

Valley Nursery Field Trip

One of the play groups Logan attends took a field trip to Valley Nursery. He had a great time exploring the nursery and planting a flower.

Scout Awards Dinner

Notice that Avery is the only cub scout.

This year at the Mount Ogden Annual District Dinner Joseph and Avery both received an award. Joseph was nominated for the District Award of Merit and was then chosen to receive it and Avery was nominated for the Zone Scout of the year Award and was also the one chosen to receive it. They were both surprised to be the ones nominated but were both grateful and happy to receive it. We are both so pleased with Avery and all his hard work, he is growing into a wonderful young man.

Puzzle Time

Puzzles have become one of Logan's favorite things. We find him doing puzzles often through out the day. It reminds me of when Avery was his age because he also went through a puzzle stage. I bet Logan will be doing 100 piece puzzles in no time just like Avery was when he was 2 and half 3ish.

Treehouse Museum

Avery and Aurora have been wanting to go to the Treehouse Museum for a while now. However, after spending an hour there they told me it was more boring than they had remembered. Logan had a great time though and didn't want to leave.

Egg Hunt

Logan is holding up one finger, saying, "One more." He loved finding the eggs this year. We have the kids find different colored eggs that way they can all find the same amount with  no hassle. Logan helped Avery and Aurora find some of their eggs.
